Residents of Mramor and Krusce, who last week blocked the traffic on the highway Nis-Prokuplje, due to increased activity of landslides and many years of non-resolution of the given promises about restoration of natural disasters, on Wednesday, 22 June 2011, in the morning, also blocked the work of Administration of City Municipality of Palilula.In conversation with the organizers of the strike, President of the Assembly Milan Djurdjevic, pointed to the activities pursued by the management of Palilula Municipality in cooperation with the city to resolve this issue and asked that this form of protest to postpone until the meeting with the Mayor of Nis.

On this occasion, was held an extraordinary meeting of Palilula Municipality Council, which was attended by representatives of vulnerable villagers of Mramor and Krusce, and brought new conclusions.

Members of the Council of the City Municipality of Palilula unanimously supported the citizens of the village of Mramor and Krusce in an effort to their problems, caused by the landslide, as soon as possible to solve.

It was agreed to submit the conclusions of the meeting to the Mayor of the City of Nis and the City Council with a request to hold an emergency meeting to 29 June where representatives of the people from the village of Mramor and Krusce would met officials of the City of Nis with the situation on the ground. Council of City Municipality of Palilula sent an appeal to the residents of endangered areas to stop blocking the highway Nis-Prokuplje and enable further work Administration of City Municipality of Palilula until the conclusion of these discussions.

This year's spring rains caused that a landslide is back up, and another 40 families are threatened in area Mramor - Krusce. In the written communication to the representatives of competent authorities of the state, residents of areas affected by the landslide gave the suggestion that a more rational to invest in the construction of new housing units for permanent care families, but set aside money for the research field.
